Q&A About Dollar Dash
Q: Which items are eligible for Dollar Dash?
A: Items marked for Donate are eligible for dollar dash if they have not already sold by the official end of Half Price Days. No other items will be eligible for Dollar Dash, however, customers will still be able to purchase other full price or half price items while they shop during Dollar Dash.
Q: How does this benefit me as a consignor?
A #1: Dollar Dash is meant to implement another surge of excitement amongst the public, therefore creating another burst of customers coming through our doors to shop for last minute deals and to make you the most money possible. Since customers will have the option to buy items marked on the tag for half price and regular full price items as well during this time, you have the potential to sell a lot more than just your items you marked for donate (Dollar Dash items)!
A #2: Remember, this is at the end of the event, after the official half price days have ended. If an item marked for donate is still there during Dollar Dash, then it didn’t sell during half price days. Therefore, that item would have gotten donated. In other words, this is your last chance to make that extra dollar on that item since it hasn't sold already, instead of donating it!
Q: What if an item is marked for half price AND donate? What price would it sell for during Dollar Dash?
A: During Dollar Dash it would sell for $1.00 or if it is marked for half price and ends up being cheaper than $1.00, then TTT willl sell it at the lower rate. Here is an example: An item is marked at $1.50 normally and marked for discount and donate. On Half Price Days the item would have gone for $0.75. On Dollar Dash, if that item is still on the floor, we will honor the half price at $0.75, instead of $1.00. It’s only fair, since customers can purchase half price items and regular price items as well when shopping Dollar Dash.
Q: What if I would rather the item be donated than receiving $1.00 for it during Dollar Dash?
A: Simple! Then don’t mark that item for donate. You can pick up your unsold items and if you want them donated, you can donate them to whichever charity you see fit.
Q: Will there still be items available for the charity that TTT normally donates to?
A: Yes! Not every item that is marked for donate will sell. Also, some consignors do not pick up on pick up day. Those items also get donated, so the charity we donate to will still receive plenty of items.
Q: How do I know which of my items sell during Dollar Dash?
A: Sales are uploaded nightly by TTT so you can monitor your items that have sold thus far. After Dollar Dash is over, we will upload sales again so you can see an updated listing of your sold report. You will be able to view which item numbers sold for $1.00 during Dollar Dash.
