CONSIGNMENT SALE

About Us: Perry

Growing up in a financially restricted household, I learned one of the most important aspects of life; the value of a dollar. Each season I helped my mother tag my outgrown items to consign in our local sale. Even though money was tight in our family, consigning was exciting to me and I learned valuable lessons about saving money. After becoming a mom, I wanted to provide my daughter with fashionable clothing and fun toys while maintaining a frugal purse.

In the Spring of 2006 I founded Tykes, Tots & Teens Consignment Sales with the help of Teri Stanley, my former manager at Conyers Jewelers. The sales were originally held in Old Town Conyers for 3 seasons. When Teri's professional duties did not allow her to continue participation, the events were continued in Conyers off Iris Drive in the Fall of 2008. I then found a large warehouse off of Wheat Street in Covington for the Spring 2008 sale. The Fall of that same year, I landed my long time goal of hosting the sales at the GA International Horse Park in Rockdale County. TTT is now one of GA's largest consignment sales and was voted "Best Consignment Sale in Atlanta" by consignmentmommies.com in the spring of 2010.

After countless hours of participation, my husband, Clabion Johns, (Clay) became the second member of Tykes, Tots & Teens LLC. Clay is the master behind checkout and is in charge of the technology to make the sale run. Even though you'll probably see him behind the counter, he has a superbly trained eye for merchandise inspection. You may even see him on the sales floor double checking our quality standards.

We have grown a long way since our first sale with 18 consignors. In the Fall of 2011 we had over 700 participating consignors at our Conyers location. That same season, we announced the expansion of our company to serve the middle GA area at the GA National Fairgrounds in Perry. Our first sale in Perry was a raging success with 179 participating consignors. Our Conyers location will be accepting 800 consignors for the Spring 2012 event in February, and the Perry location will be accepting up to 400 consignors for the Spring 2012 event in March. We pride ourselves in strict quality acceptance standards, an organized, "no digging" layout for our customers, and always improving sales operations for our customers. We would love to see you join our consignor family and we know you will enjoy finding the best, quality bargains for your child at TTT.

For Mom & Dad, and Extended Family,

Thank you Dad, for everything you have done for us over the seasons. You saw my dream, believed in me, and we would not have become who we are today without your blood sweat and tears....literally. We all know you are a perfectionist when it comes to the racks and it is ok if they are not spaced precisely to the nearest inch (wink).

Mom, your hard work is not unnoticed. Thank you for the laborious hours you have volunteered each event, teaching me the ropes of consigning, and making sure I grew up frugal enough to understand the value of a dollar. As I have grown older, I realize just how special the two of you are with your dedication, interest, commitment, generosity, love, and support in my endeavors. I want you both to know how appreciative we are.

To my Mother-in-Law, Micky Brown and my step Father-in-Law Bill Brown,
Thank you for volunteering your time and offering a home for our dog during the events. Bill, we appreciate your strength...and height in helping with the racks. Micky, I'm so glad we both enjoy a great bargain and I like that we have a way to share it together.

To my Father-in-Law, Russell Johns and my step Mother-in-Law, Karen Johns. Thank you both for your continued support, and encouragement with the events. Russell, I know Clay has you very involved in his business as well, and we take up so many of your weekends. Clay and I really enjoy laughing alongside you. We thank you for helping with breakdown as your time and health allow you.

To my longtime best friend, Sarah, I am so glad I have had your help over the past several seasons. I enjoy laughing alongside you and working many many many hours with you. We manage to have a great time despite working very hard. I'm glad that we can "catch up" and visit since you

relocate to our home for several weeks at a time during sale season.

To my new team of dependents who have also become good friends over the past several seasons, Brittainy, Rebekah and Donna, I cannot thank you enough for your intent focus on TTT. Your never ending help and work is greatly appreciated. I am so proud and grateful for the friendship that has blossomed from our work relationship. I enjoy our non-sale times together and look forward to many more. In addition to you three, TTT wants to also thank many other dedicated workers who have endured many laborious hours. Many of you have worked beyond our expectations and we appreciate and recognize your help more than words can say.

Thank You All            - Laura and Clay
